This clip is from Jacob and Michela's beginning strings concert. Unfortunately you can't see them at all, but they are there, part of the group making this beautiful music! (Remember folks, this is beginning strings - they all just started this year!) Jacob played violin and Michela viola, but they are both switching to band next year, which you can do in 5th grade.
This is a little clip from Harrison's symphonic (honor) band concert the same night. (It was a long evening!) Again, unfortunately you can't see him because he's in the back, as that is where the trombones, saxaphones, etc. are. But know that he's there. This was one of the best pieces, you'll probably recognize it. It's called The Final Countdown. The director told us that the pieces they were playing this year were all high school level music!
This is a short snippet of Jacob in his 4th grade musical play "Gold Dust or Bust." He was Samuel Clemens and had a lot of lines. Michela close to be on the "crew" so she wasn't really in the play at all - just the opening and closing songs. (In the end, she decided she'd rather be performing that be on crew, but it was fun for her to try something different.)

This one has Michela in it as well - it's a little bit of them singing their final song "gold Dust or Bust."
