Ooops - I guess I fell behind afterall. Sorry.
And now I just typed a long post about what we've been doing and I accidentally deleted it somehow. Ahhh - aggravating!
Day 7 (Monday) was a fun day at the Caverns, the Wildlife Ranch, a quiet afternoon at home, dinner out and seeing Get Smart in the evening. The Caverns are really neat natural underground caves. The Wildlife park was really cool - the wild animals roam free and you drive through the 4 acre park and the animals come up to the car. Some people were even letting the animals stick their whole heads in the car, but we were more conservative than that.
Day 8 (Tuesday) was a great day at Schlitterbahn Water park with Jody and Jack. It was great to spend so much time with them this trip. Tons of rides and water fun all day long.
Day 9 (Wednesday) was a low key day at home. We moved to a hotel to make room here for Nicole, Ian, Alex and Daniel (Darren arrives tonight, as he was on a business trip.) Unfortunately, we can't all fit here. But our suite hotel is nearby and nice and we'll be over here at the house most of the time anyway. We've been having a great time with them. Ian is 6, Alex is 5 and Daniel is almost 2 and all 6 of the kids have so much fun being together. It's so nice to watch them play and spend time together - they love each other so much. It's just too bad that we live so far apart and we only see each other once or twice a year. They've been playing basketball, wrestling, games and other fun things here at the house and we've also gone to the park and the YMCA pool. We've been cooking here some, but after we used every pot in the house and went through a TON of food yesterday, Bernie decided to take us all out to lunch today! :)
We're off now to the movies (Wall E) and then home for dinner, playing the Wii and other fun. Aren't vacations great?
More later!
