Very exciting news! Just like they did last year, Jacob's large group jazz competition group placed high enough overall at the Showstoppers West Coast finals yesterday afternoon to qualify for the super-duper national finals tomorrow (sunday), which are broadcasted *live* on line!
It's a really, really big deal. These dance numbers are the best of the best. Only the top 8 numbers in each age division get to move on to tomorrow's special event, so the eight numbers are a mix of jazz, tap, lyrical, etc. It's the top 8 out of probably at least 40 numbers. Jacob's number squeaked in at number 8!

The "minis" groups will start at 1:30 p.m. (right after the lunch break) and his number is going on 3rd. It's called "5,6,7,8." The M.C. will be announcing each number before they start dancing. There are 3 boys in the number, but you should be able to find Jacob - he's in the middle at the very beginning.
His mini's group also made this honor last year and that video is still online for a couple more days until the new one gets put up. Check it out at www.showstopperonline.com. We've been at the dance competition every afternoon now since thursday. Jacob also did a dance camp at our studio from 9 to 1 every day and he had fun. Michela had fun at a softball camp every day from 9-3. They both went to swim team some this week and swam in today's meet. Marlon got back into the swing of work. I worked a little bit, but mostly got organized after our trip. We've gotten one letter from Harrison so far and he says he's having a good time.
